"Thead of Hope" are unique pieces that incorporate my established practice of weaving, but using a combination of stretched and unstretched canvas. Threads of the raw, torn canvas are left untouched as the weaving process occurred. 
 
Neutral and moody; this piece conveys a sense of resilience and fragility simultaneously. The interplay between the stretched canvas and the loose, hanging threads suggests the tension between what is controlled and what is left to chance.
