Process + Commissions.
At the heart of my practice is a process-driven approach to transforming original artworks into one-of-a-kind pieces. Every work begins with deconstruction and reassembly, exploring color, pattern, and rhythm to create a unique visual language. This approach extends naturally to commissions, allowing each piece to respond thoughtfully to a client’s space, vision, and context while maintaining the integrity and joy of the original work.
In addition to using my own deconstructed artwork, I often take children's artwork from a family and create a modern work of art using only those materials. This creates a uniquely special piece designed especially for your home.
How I Handle Commissions:
-
Initial Consultation
I start by discussing the client’s goals, interior context, scale requirements, and aesthetic preferences. This conversation ensures the work complements the space and meets the client’s vision.
-
Concept Development
Using sketches, color studies, or small-scale experiments, I explore ideas that reflect both the client’s needs and my signature process of deconstruction and reimagining.
-
Proposal & Approval
Clients receive a concept outline, including size, palette, materials, and an estimated timeline. Feedback is incorporated to ensure alignment before work begins.
-
Creation & Updates
I create the artwork with an iterative approach, sharing progress updates and images at key milestones, allowing clients to follow the transformation from original material to final piece.
-
Delivery & Installation
Completed works are carefully prepared for delivery, with installation guidance provided for both residential and public spaces to ensure the piece is displayed at its best.
-
Ongoing Collaboration
For site-specific or large-scale projects, I remain available to adjust or advise on placement, lighting, and environmental considerations, ensuring long-term integrity and impact of the artwork.
