"Thread of Hope" is a unique piece that incorporates my established practice of weaving, but using a combination of stretched and unstretched canvas. Threads of the raw canvas are left untouched as the weaving process occurred. The sides and corners are meticulously continued in the same fashion. It speaks to the core of being interconnected with one another and how strong the threads that tie us together are.
 
Neutral and grounded in its earthy tones, this piece conveys a sense of resilience and fragility simultaneously. The interplay between the stretched canvas and the loose, hanging threads suggests the tension between what is controlled and what is left to chance.
